Why create CTS&E?
Will: Entering our thirties, we really enjoyed the season we were entering of becoming parents and professionals at our jobs. However, we quickly realized we had stopped doing the fun things, the creative play that we did when we were younger. We started to think about how we could introduce that back into our lives, our friends' lives, and maybe even into your life.
Meg: We found that we were still our creative selves, just with substantially less opportunities to share our creative side with our community and with others. Part of that was COVID happened, we had a baby, etc. You know how it goes... You work your 9-5 job, take care of your kid(s) and it can easily be 10:00 PM before you have a minute to yourself at the end of the day. And then if you’re like me, you just want to go to sleep, but then you have chores and dishes to do, yet you still find yourself craving connection and fun. We went through a season of realizing -- Adults need more opportunities to have fun, get creative, and to connect with one another!

Where did the name CTS&E come from, and why do we like that name?
Will: When I was a kid, my Dad and Grandpa built a treehouse in the backyard for me and my siblings, and it was a great place to retreat and go imagine. To go experiment and invite our friends along for an adventure. That's why the treehouse is our logo, we are inviting you along on our adventures!
Meg: We wanted to inspire that feeling of being a carefree kid who is playing and being creative. We chose the word cozy thinking about the artistic process and how sometimes it's anything but cozy. Artists are fighting insecurities, perfectionism, and feeling vulnerable putting their stuff out there. Creating is good therapy for a reason, so we want to help show that the creative process can be Cozy.
Next, I thought about what makes me feel cozy? And as a Christian, that's the cross. The cross is where I or anyone can cast their burdens and become carefree as you trust Jesus to carry your burdens for you. Plus, with what Will mentioned about his child treehouse experiences, this is where the word Tree came in.
And Studios & Events because we are in the music and performing arts space and enjoy participating in concerts and event production.
Put it all together and you have Cozy Tree Studios & Events!
